nfs setup for Ubuntu MythTV frontend

You need to do this to mount the backend's videos and video images directories on remote frontend clients. These folder locations are based on my current configuration, not the default. It assumes the directories are already being shared via nfs on the backend server.

1. add portmap package in synaptic

2. from a terminal:

sudo mkdir /myth

sudo mkdir /myth/videos

sudo mkdir /myth/video-images

cd /myth

sudo chmod 777 *
sudo gedit /etc/fstab
add:
<backend server>:/myth/videos /myth/videos nfs rsize=8192,wsize=8192,timeo=14,intr

<backend server>:/myth/video-images /myth/video-images nfs rsize=8192,wsize=8192,timeo=14,intr

Save the file

sudo mount -a

The directories should be available immediately and after reboot.
