Netgear WG511T – Linux friendly, affordable wireless PC Card

Too many wireless PC cards that I’ve come across either don’t work at all with linux or require ndiswrapper. I’m all for supporting products that do support linux, out of the box. The Netgear WG511T is one such product, and it’s inexpensive as well. I’ve only tested it with Ubuntu Dapper, but it worked flawlessly. It was recognized by the OS and just started working immediately, no configuration required. Kudos.

Bought three at Computer Geeks for what one incompatible card could cost locally at Office Depot. $21.99 each plus $7 shipping.
