Beryl on Ubuntu Edgy

Beryl is not included by default on Edgy, I heard because it was a little too edgy at the time. It is not too bad though, and its crashes are pretty harmless. It’s more useful than I expected, incorporating some of the windowing ideas from OSX along with the eye candy. It’s a good way to get some use out of your underused high power video card. Most video cards these days fall into that category. I did find that some games can lock the UI if you’re using Beryl, so that could be a problem for some people.  Luckily I never have time to play games.

Here is a simple procedure to install it.
